Room Tour # 2

I moved in with my second host family.

Yes, I moved.

Yes, time is going by way too fast.

Yes, my halfway mark is January 30th.

Yes, I want to cry.

Photos of my friends and the lovely book my sister made me full of letters
from my amazing family and friends.
Oh plus Screech!

My friends here will ask me two things:
 "Is that your mom?"
No, just Mrs. Maureen..well never mind actually yeah.
"Is that your boyfriend?"
HAHAHAHAHA

My new host family, The Jöhnemark's, are amazing! I now have a fourteen year old brother, William. The eldest son, Oskar, is on exchange in Utah. Lena and Jonas are excited to have a daughter and I am looking forward to having them as parents!

History Museum

Many museums in Sweden are free if you are eighteen and younger; us poor exchange students sometimes like to venture to one to escape the cold and educate ourselves.

Today, Kate, Cherry, and I went to the History Museum.

Kate now has lice.

I do not think those were phones...

Cherry was getting tired.

2014!!

I took a little nap!

We found a tent with real fire!

"Oh cool hats!" -Kate
"Um, those are crowns..."- me

I love Stockholm! <3

After the History Museum, we went to Cherry's to make dinner and watch a movie.

Kate decided she wanted scrambled eggs with her noodles???

Buttered noodles! We are the best cooks :)

We watched Les Miserables!

The kitty-cat cuddled with me! I miss my cat, Benjamin.

I came home to the most wonderful amazing surprise ever, a package from my class at Beaufort Academy. When I saw the package on my bed and read the return address "Beaufort Academy Class of 2015" I was really confused. Honestly, it took me a couple seconds until it clicked that it was from my class and then I freaked! I had no idea that they were sending me anything. This by far will be the best package I receive all year. Oddly earlier today, I was thinking about how different my senior year will be because I will have a missed a whole year with my class. I became nervous about returning to Beaufort Academy however this package has put me at ease. The Class of 2015 is still the same class I went to school with in the first grade. They are family and they will welcome me back with open arms.

Ringing in the New Year!

The Leijonhufvud's have a family tradition of melting metal in the fire then dropping it into water. The resulting shape is interpreted to tell the future of the upcoming year.

We went into the city to watch the fireworks!

2013 has been a crazy year! I got accepted into the Rotary Youth Exchange Program, found out I would be going to Sweden for my exchange, went to New York City with my Beaufort Academy class (I miss them dearly), took the SAT for my first time, my sister graduated High School, went to Moes Monday pretty much every week with my best friends (before I left), nannied over the summer, spent an amazing week at the beach with my family, got my wisdom teeth out, celebrated my seventeenth birthday, traveled to Sweden, stayed with a wonderful first host family, was placed in a great Swedish class with great people, and meet truly amazing friends along the way that I will cherish forever!

I have so much to look forward to in this New Year!
